Working with the Senior Front Reception Team, it will be your responsibility to run the daily operation of reception and reservations for Twr y Felin, Roch Castle and Penrhiw Priory from the central location of Twr y Felin Hotel. Duties include supporting all departments throughout Twr y Felin Hotel and assist the teams at Roch Castle and Penrhiw Prior when required. You will need to adhere to effective reservations/reception systems. You will be expected to have a close seamless working relationship with the Housekeeping Team and Maintenance Team ensuring that their lists to carry out their work are accurate and up to date. Most importantly you need to provide a smooth delivery of service and guest satisfaction, whenever possible anticipate guests’ needs, be aware of all written and spoken requests and carry out these requests in a courteous and helpful manner.

Working with the Food and Beverage Manager and Kitchen Brigade it will be your responsibility to assist with the daily operation of the restaurant and bar areas for Twr y Felin Hotel and to provide support to our sister hotels Roch Castle and Penrhiw Priory as and when required. Duties will include, to anticipate guests’ needs, wherever possible, in order to deliver exceptional quality of service and, in turn, guest satisfaction, explain the menus and specials to suit the individual tastes of the guests. You should be able to describe and upsell products to the guests, take orders accurately and post the orders accurately in a time efficient manner and be able to maintain and deliver consistent company standards.

We are looking for experienced Chefs to join the team as a Chef de Partie, mainly based in Twr y Felin Hotel, although there may be occasions when you need to support at our sister properties.

Your duties will be:

  • To support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen.
  • To implement, train and maintain the standards set with the guidance of the Head and Sous Chef.
  • To ensure that all food is prepared, stored and disposed of to the standard required.
  • To control stock levels, and ensure that all food to is used appropriately at all times.
  • You will be expected to help support and develop the team and to help with the development of the menu and suggest dishes
  • You should be able to liaise and communicate with other departments within the hotel to ensure that the guest’s comfort and wellbeing is ensured.

The salary for this position is £21,000, however this is negotiable dependant on experience.

You will be based between the different properties, not just at Roch Castle

We are recruiting members to join the Housekeeping team at Roch Castle and Penrhiw Priory and occasionally at Twr Y Felin Hotel.

Working with the Roch Castle or Penrhiw Priory Manager, it is your responsibility to deliver cleanliness to the correct standards whilst remembering the finest details throughout the hotel. You should have a warm, friendly and welcoming manner, and genuinely care about the guest experience.

Main Duties

  • Clean and maintain guest rooms, public areas and back of house areas to company standards
  • Fulfil all reasonable requests from guests to ensure their comfort, satisfaction and safety
  • Work at an efficient pace to ensure guest rooms are completed prior to their arrival
  • Communicate with the Manager when rooms have been completed
  • Complete the room checklist to ensure each room is fully stocked
  • Report any guest lost property to the Manager immediately
  • Liaise with the Manager and Laundry Assistants regarding what linen is required and advise of any shortfalls or stained items
  • Report any faults or maintenance issues promptly to the Maintenance department
  • Wear the correct uniform in line with company standards and understand the importance of good personal hygiene
  • Ensure all areas are cleaned with the correct cleaning product in a safe working environment
  • Be able to work unsupervised in a busy environment

Desired Skills & Experience

Working with the Operations Manager, it will be your responsibility to run the daily operation of the Food and Beverage for Twr Y Felin Hotel, Roch Castle and Penrhiw Priory. You will inspire your team to deliver a consistently high level of guest service within the department whilst maximising sales opportunities for the hotels.

Basic duties include:

  • Supervise the daily operations in the food and beverage areas and anticipate guests’ needs, wherever possible, in order to deliver exceptional quality of service and, in turn, guest satisfaction and inspire your team to do the same.
  • Develop the F&B Team through guidance and training.
  • Support and maintain a good working relationship with the kitchen brigade and other departments within the hotel to deliver an exceptional experience for our guests.
  • Constantly order appropriate wine and honesty bar stocks depending on the time of year, while constantly improving the content in each of the three venues.
  • Visit Penrhiw Priory and Roch Castle, on at least a weekly basis, to oversee breakfast content and service standards.
  • Conduct accurate and timely stock takes of wine, beverages, crockery and cutlery at Twr y Felin y Felin, Penrhiw Priory and Roch Castle on at least a monthly basis
  • Oversee breakfast, lunch and dinner services at Twr y Felin Hotel on at least a weekly basis, to ensure that service levels are maintained.  
  • Monitor sales, budgets and standards of upselling along with cashing up and reconciling end of day reports. (It is the responsibility of the F&B Team to ensure that all tills balance at the end of the night before they leave)

Salary for this position is £27,000 - £30,000, negoatioable subject to previous experience.

We are expanding our team at the 2 Rosette Blas Restatrant in Twr y Felin.

You will be responsiible for ensuring a high level of breakfast service for the guests at Twr y Felin. The sucessful applicant must be able to work using their own initiatives and be self motiovated.

The main duties will be:

  • To support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen.
  • To implement, train and maintain the standards set with the guidance of the Head and Sous Chefs.
  • To assist in the smooth and effective running of the kitchen department.
  • To ensure that all food is prepared, stored and disposed of to the standard required.
  • To control stock levels, and ensure that all food to is used appropriately at all times
  • Ordering and receiving of food goods, in accordance with monthly budgets to include the control of stock, and Health and Safety compliance.
  • To liaise and communicate with other departments

We are looking for a bar person to join our busy restaurant team.

You will be responsible for the smooth running of the bar operations during evening service.

It will be working 5 days over a 7 day week.

We are looking for an individual with bar experience and good knowledge of cocktails. Excellent wine knowledge would be preferable, but not essential as training can be given.

The role will also include covering night shifts when the night team are on holiday.
